Born Feb. 18, 1937, in Henderson, Ky., he was the son of the late Paul Lavern Barron Sr. and Annabelle Massey Barron.
He served in the United States Air Force for eight years, and was a retired fireman with Moody Air Force Base. He was an ordained minister, and formerly served several churches in the South Georgia area. He was also the former assistant to the manager of the Georgia Baptist Convention Center in Norman Park and was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Westerman Barron of Moultrie; three sons, Dennis Paul Barron of Lee, Mass., Keith David Barron of Moultrie and Stephen Lee Barron of Washington, D.C.; one brother, the Rev. Jerry Barron of Hopkinsville, Ky.; four grandchildren, Shauntell Barron of Windsor, Colo., Aubrey Barron of Moultrie, Tara Barron Vickers of Cairo and Roberto Barron of Lee, Mass.; and one great-grandchild, Cocatae Barron.
