Myrle, age 100, passed away peacefully on Feb. 20, 2018. She was born June 17, 1917 to Russell B. and Laura Pearl Walker Frew in Eden, Utah. She married John Wesley Turner in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple on 10 December 1936. He preceded her in death.
Myrle loved her husband and family, home, reading, crocheting, sewing and canning. She graduated from Weber High School and Seminary.
She served as a teacher in Primary, Sunday School, MIA and Relief Society; as a Ward Relief Society president twice and Stake Relief Society President. She was president of the Special Ed. PTA. Was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Bluffdale Camp. Did name extraction and was a visiting teacher for fifty years. She served as an ordinance worker with her husband in the Salt Lake and Jordan River Temples. She served a mission to the Montana Billings Mission with her husband, John.
She leaves behind a legacy of children: Russell, South Jordan; Wayne (JoAnn), Preston, Idaho: Garth (Jeannine), Salt Lake City; and Katharine (Larry) Memmott, Tooele. She had 11 grandchildren (one preceded her in death), 28 great grandchildren (three preceded her in death), 7 great great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and 2 foster great grandchildren.
She leaves behind two brothers, James (June) Frew of Layton and Dean (Phyllis) Frew of Hooper. Preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby and Mabel and two brothers, Raymond and Robert.
Funeral services will held Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at 12 noon with a viewing preceding from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Bluffdale 2nd Ward Chapel, 14400 South Redwood Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
Interment will be in the Bluffdale City Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
