Becky was born in Fairmont, WV on December 23, 1934 to Harold Ross Hoult and Mary Jane Hoult (nee Smoot), sister of Charles S. Hoult (Charlotte).
She married Samuel M. Cassidy, III on June 9, 1956 and was blessed with nearly 62 years together. Cherished mother of Frances Cassidy Sabad, Lexington, KY; Michael Kern Cassidy, San Anselmo, CA; James Wood Cassidy, Lexington, KY and Mary Carroll Cassidy-Anger, Great Falls, VA. Beloved grandmother of Elizabeth “Katie”, Alexander “Alex” and Samantha Jane Sabad, Sister-in-law of Chas. S. Cassidy; Aunt to multiple nieces and nephews.
Becky graduated from Fairmont State University with a degree in social work. She was an active volunteer, for over 5 decades, for multiple places including the Montgomery Women’s Club (past President), Jr. Cooperative Society, Children’s Hospital, Church of the Saviour U.M., Tender Mercies, and Cincinnati Womans club.
Becky cherished old friends and was always eager to make new ones. She was a descendant of the founders of Prickett’s Fort near Fairmont, WV. Becky was a lover and strong supporter of the Blue Grass area, historical preservation and a friend of Walnut Hill Church from the time of its reactivation in the early 1970’s. She and her husband, Sam, maintain a historical ancestral farm in Lexington, KY. She was a resident of Montgomery, OH and Cave Spring Farm, 5180 Athens Walnut Hill Pike
