Rev. Henry Staggs, Jr., age 85 of Quitman, Louisiana went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 17, 2018, at his home. He was surrounded by his family as he was carried into the presence of his Lord and Savior that he faithfully served. He was born July 30, 1932 in Ruston, Louisiana. He lived in Ansley, Louisiana until age 11 when he moved to Quitman, Louisiana.

He was called into the ministry of the Church of God at age 15 and was an evangelist and pastor for 70 years. Over this time he pastored 11 Churches, held countless revivals, and ministered in 5 Countries. He was a man of God, full of love and great faith. Through his ministry and prayers many people were saved and healed.

He married his childhood sweetheart, his beloved, Carolyn Cooper Staggs in 1950. They were married 67 years.

Through is high school years he was an allstar athlete at Quitman High School. He had a great love for the outdoors and all of nature. He was an avid hunter.

Mr. Staggs is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Cooper) Staggs; son, Mark Staggs; daughter, Susan Williams & husband Roger; Grandchildren, Jacob Staggs, Tyler Staggs, Joshua Williams & wife Kelly, Holly Morris & husband Justin; Great Grandchildren, Wade Williams, Cooper Williams, Averie Williams, Garrett Morris, Jared Morris; sister, Sara Borland & husband Bobby; A Host Of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives and Friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Adison Staggs, Sr. & Katie Staggs; nephew, Jonah Borland; great nephew, Blaise Borland.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Williams, Justin Morris, Wade Williams, Cooper Williams, Garrett Morris, and Jared Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Toby Borland, Bob Borland, Adison Borland, Jack Cooper, Bill Cooper, Gary Bell Tim Nelson.

Friends may visit with the family 12:00pm ~ 2:00pm Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Highway Chapel Church of God, Quitman, La. Funeral services will begin at 2:00pm with interment to follow at Ansley Cemetery, Ansley,
