Mary Ellen Anderson, 84, of Carmichaels, died at 7:35 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2007, in Precious Moments Personal Care Home, Carmichaels.

She was born April 5, 1922, a daughter of Bertha Viola Areford and Aaron Jackson Walters.

Mrs. Anderson was a life member of First United Methodist Church of Carmichaels, United Methodist Women and Carmichaels Senior Care.

On April 7, 1945, she married Arley L. Anderson, who died February 13, 2000.

Surviving are a son, A. Allen Anderson and wife Shelley of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Lynne Vaslavsky and husband James of Farrell and Jacqueline Cole and husband Robert of Maidsville, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Lisa Lunden Moore, Michael, Anita and Nancy Cole and James and Jesse Anderson; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, with the Rev. Roger C. Saunders officiating. Interment will follow in Glades Cemetery, Carmichaels.

The family suggests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church, 104 West South Street, Carmichaels, PA 15320.
