She married Virgil Watson on March 1, 1950 in Ovalo Texas.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Linda McDonald of Abilene and three grandchildren, She is also survived by her two sisters Clara Belle Davis of Abilene and Mildred Virginia Long of New Mexico and one brother William Henry (Bill) Hicks of Talpa.
She was preceded in death by husband Virgil Watson, one son Sammy Watson and her parents Ervin and Maggie Hicks, one brother Nolan Hicks, three sisters Gladys Matthews and Christine Hilley, and Wanda Hanley.
