Patsy Ramona (Bates) Phillips was born in Willis, Oklahoma on November 14, 1937 to loving
parents, Fred Warren and Ruth Armentia (Henson) Bates. She was the third child of four born
to the Bates family with two sisters, Joyce Laquentia (older) and Carolyn Ruth (younger), and
one older brother, Sammy Dean. Pat’s love and care for her children were her main concern as a younger wife and mother, then thriving as a grandmother (Nana) when she was blessed with grandchildren and greatgrandchildren
in her later years. She enjoyed gardening and took great pleasure in the beauty of flowers, which was reflected in her home through interior and exterior decorating. Her faithfulness to the Lord was shown in her commitment to her church, Waterview Church of Christ in Richardson, Texas, where she was a member for 55 years and taught children’s Bible
classes. Pat could also frequently be found engaging in oil painting, ceramics, sewing and reading as hobbies. She was full of life, outgoing and loved social gatherings, but also patient, kind and so endearing of her family to who she leaves a loving legacy. Patsy passed from this life into the Lord’s rest on Sunday, February 18, 2018 and will be dearly
missed by those she touched through her unending love and devotion. She is survived by her husband, Paul H. Phillips, being married for 59 years, brother, Sam, sister Carolyn, children LeAnn, Randy and Barry, grandchildren Brian Lauterbach, Heather Lilly, Cara, Robert, Brady, Alec and Cami Phillips, great-grandchildren Mariah, Austin and Madison Lilly and Bella Ann Perez.
