Bobby Lee Pruitt, 87, husband of 22 years to Shelby Jean Kelley Carver Pruitt, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Hart Co., GA, on March 29, 1930, Bob was the son of the late Judge Leland Pruitt and Willie Mae Cross Pruitt. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps selflessly for two years. He worked for Kroger Bakery retiring after 32 years and was an avid camper who also enjoyed working in the yard. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple.

In addition to his wife Jean, Bob is survived by his son, Greg Pruitt (Michelle); daughters, Terri Rogers (Johnathan), Debbie Durham (Robert), and Denise Clark (David); brother, William Ray Pruitt (Shirley); sisters, Barbara McAlister (Allen), Carolyn Simpson (Don), and Ruby Pruitt; 8 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by an infant son; one brother; and six sisters.

The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 19, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 20, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence.
