Frances was born December 30, 1924 in Barton, ND. She was one of six children of Fred and Clara (Saude) Krefting. Raised in Barton, she graduated from Barton High School and attended the Deaconess School of Nursing. Upon graduating from nursing school in 1945, she practiced nursing for a short time at Deaconess Hospital in Grand Forks.
Frances married Kenneth I. Hall February 19, 1950 in Grand Forks. In 1952, they purchased The Rose Flower Shop, owning it until retirement in 1984.
Frances was active in the Deaconess School of Nursing Alumni Association and a longtime member of Zonta International and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards with neighbors and friends and “Fighting Sioux” hockey.
