Blake Smith grew up as a faithful member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Birmingham, AL. He was saved in 6th grade and later surrendered to preach. He lived his life as a light for Christ, always witnessing and encouraging others. His testimony shines ever brighter, even through his death. His life was cut tragically short while in Bible college, studying to be a preacher, although the sermon he preached on Dec. 31, 2017, has now been watched and listened to by thousands of people (via youtube). He would be thrilled beyond words to know that multiple people have trusted Christ as their Saviour because of his testimony; many others have come back to Christ; still others have surrendered their lives to preach the Gospel. His only wish now would be for even more people to follow the path he walked in obedience to Christ.

1. Admit you are a sinner. God is perfect and cannot let any sin into Heaven, and every person has been a sinner since birth. Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12
2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sin and rose from the dead to live again in Heaven. Because no sin is allowed in Heaven, God's Son came to Earth to take our punishment for sin. He shed His blood to make a way for us to join God in Heaven. Romans 3:24-25; Romans 5:8; Romans 6:23; 1 Thessalonians 4:14
3. Confess Him as Lord. Jesus took our punishment. All we have to do is accept His free gift--and when God looks at us, He will only see Jesus' blood, thereby allowing us into Heaven. Romans 10:9-10, 13
4. Delight in the fact that you are now on your way to Heaven. If you are trusting in God alone (Jesus' sacrifice and nothing more) to cleanse your sin and get you to Heaven, there is nothing that can change your eternal destination. John 10:28-29; Romans 8:38-39; 1 John 1:9; 1 John 3:18-21
