Joan Patricia Burkhart, 85, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Vienna, WV, passed away February 17, 2018.

She was born December 18, 1932 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late William McKinnley and Agnes Eugenia Wassemann Coss.

Joan was an active member of St. Michael Catholic Church for nearly 50 years. Loved singing in the choir and participating in the women’s club. She was employed with Nashua Photo for nearly 18 years. If you knew Joanie…you know the she loved people and never met a stranger!

Joan is survived by her children, Craig William (Elizabeth Frances) Burkhart of Chagrin Falls, OH and Frank Joseph (Sandra Kay) Burkhart, Jr. of Aiken, SC; three grandchildren, William Franklin Burkhart, Nicole Reed Burkhart, and Ethan Logan Burkhart, many nieces, nephews, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Joseph Burkhart, Sr.; one sister; and two brothers.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vienna with Reverend John Gallagher as celebrant. Burial will follow the service in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday with Rosary Service at 8:00 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home,
