Jane Ellen Perkins of Van Buren, Arkansas, entered into rest on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born August 25, 1951 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the daughter of the late Florence and Laverne (Schwartz) Engel.

Jane was an R.N. for 30 years for Sparks Regional Medical Center and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Van Buren, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by brother, Danny “Dodie” Engel and one sister Debbie Skidgel.

Survivors include a great number of family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and many others that she treated with all of the love and caring a person could too many to list hers, her son Dan Perkins II and wife Julie of Cameron, Oklahoma, two brothers, Robert Engel of Fort Smith and Kenneth Engel of Barling, one sister, Cynthia Engel of Fort Smith, three grandchildren, Robert and Liam Beals , and Brooke Washington, extended family Trey, Whitney and Alexis, also two foster children hosted by Dan and Julie.

Rosary will be held Tuesday at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith. Mass will be held Wednesday at Lwis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Arkansas with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fort Smith, Arkansas.Pallbearers will be Bob, Kenny, Brandon and Kendall Engel, Theo Baughn and Trey Fears.
