Howard N. Goodman- Victim of Apoplexy
Howard N. Goodman, a Reading Railway machinist, died from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy at 2:55 am today, one hour after suffering the attack at his home, 1226 Greenwich Street. A physician was summoned by the family but the patient failed to respond to treatment.
Deceased was a lifelong resident of Reading. His parents, Hiram and Andora (Nyce) Goodman, preceded him in death. Mr. Goodman was employed at his trade at the local shops of the Reading Company for many years. He was a member of the Baptist denomination. Surviving are his widow, Maggie M. (Smith) Goodman, and these children: Helen, Howard, Jr., and Byron, all at home; a brother Calvin and a sister Mary, wife of Francis Erskin, the latter of Brockton Mass.
