He was born in Guernsey, England, and had lived in the United States for the last 60 years.
Oliver was a retired self-employed contractor and a veteran of World War I. He was s 50-year member of St. John's Commandry No. 1, Knights Templar, life member of Corinthia Lodge No 30, AF&AM, and Washington and Lafayette, Chapter 1. He was also a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Boyd Oliver, and two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Brache and Mrs. Lilly Bartlett, both of Guernsey.
Services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon at the McCrery Funeral Home, 2700 Washington Ave. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home an hour before the services.
