Joyce Elaine Barnard passed from this life Tuesday February 13, 2018 at The Arbors at Ravenwood in Springfield. She was born to Harley and Charlotte (Dunn) Tallman on February 10, 1935 in Compton, CA. Joyce's family moved to Rogersville, MO in 1943, where she later married, Kenneth Barnard.
Joyce formed and then directed for 30 years all of the children's choirs at Schweitzer UMC.
Survivors include son Dan and wife Mary; daughter-in-law Joanie; son Larry; grandchildren Alysia Butrick and husband Curtis; Justin Barnard; Michael and Harley Barnard; Raychel and Travis Barnard, two great-grandchildren Jackson and Claire Butrick; and sister Gayil Calhoun. Joyce was preceded in death by husband Ken, son Randy Barnard and a sister Janet Williams.
A private family ceremony at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery Springfield.
