Geneva was of the Pentecostal faith. She retired from Maidenform in Princeton after 32 years of service. She loved working in her flower garden, but her real passion was her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Jenkins; one grandson, Joshua Jenkins; and six siblings, Hershel, J.C., Clayton, Bobby, Ethel and Ronald.
Survivors include four children, Donnie Vaughn and wife Marty of Arcanum, OH, Barry Jenkins and wife Rina of Lashmeet, Sherry Blackwell and husband Darrell of Bluefield, VA and John Jenkins and wife Millie of Max Meadows, VA; Bobby Joe Holder of North Carolina who was considered a son; a special nephew, Kenneth Farmer of Princeton; eight grandchildren, Donald, Teresa, Kyle, Molly, Trent, Heather, Nikki and Matt; eight great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Madison, Asher, Savannah, Dylan, Chase, Jayden and Kondee; one brother, Donald Burton and wife Sue of Princeton; one sister, Bonnie Butler and husband Ted of Pembroke, VA; special friend, Peggy Kress of Princeton; many friends at Princeton Towers; and her loving cat Reuben Baby.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with family members officiating.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the McComas-Crotty Cemetery in Lashmeet. Friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Jenkins, Jason Croy, Ted Butler, Kenny Farmer, Dylan Duncan and Dwayne Duncan.
