Funeral services for George Menard Norton, 88, who passed away on February 1, 2018, will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the graveside in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Gee Alexander officiating.
Mr. Norton was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a Licensed Amateur Radio Operator his call # KE4IOR and he was an American Red Cross Volunteer. He was a member of San Jose Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his 4 daughters, Suzanne Riccaboni, Ellen Elizabeth Ontiveros (Manuel), Donna K. Derison, and Nancy N. Genter (Clay); Nephew, E. Miller Norton, III, (Karen); 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to San Jose Episcopal Day School. Arrangements under the direction of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32206.
