ARMSTRONG, Kathleen A., 96, of Glen Allen, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Armstrong Jr.; a grandson, Stephen E. Bowles Jr.; and great-grandson, Reid R. Parker. Katy is survived by her children, Gary D. Armstrong (Lorie), Janet A. Bowles (Steve); and five grandchildren, Alison, Brandon, Clay, Devin and Erin (affectionately known as the "ABCDE's of the Armstrong family"); and seven great-grandchildren. She was employed for many years with Henrico County. Katy will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at both Hanover Manor and Alpha House, where our mother has received wonderful care for the past nine years. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 19, at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, at Winns Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winns Baptist Church Building Fund, 12320 Winns Church Rd., Glen Allen, Va. 23059.
