Jane/Jean Jamieson Harris of Durham, passed away peacefully at SBGHC in Durham, on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the age of 92 years.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, on August 16, 1925 to the late Robert and Christina (née Tosh) Ellis, Jane was a Secondary School Teacher.
Survived by her niece Dianne Surridge of Calgary, Alberta; her nephews Iain (Lynda) Harris and Bruce (Faye) Harris of Hanover, Neil (Donna) Harris of Williamsford; her brothers, Ricky Ellis of Barrie, Robby Ellis of the Philipeans and Eddy Ellis of Port Colborne.
Loved by her brother-in-law Arnie (Betty) Bauer of Hamilton and their children Shirley (Bill) Hearn of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Nancy Blair of Toronto and Susan (Michael) Newman of British Columbia, as well as many great nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her husband Albert, her sister Chrissy Ellis, her brother Alec Ellis, her niece Pamela Harris, her brothers-in-law Hugh Harris and Jack Harris and her sisters-in-law, Noreen (née Gamble) Harris and Myra (née Scott) Harris.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family inurnment will be held at a later date.
