David Alfred Dickson, age 81, of Ridgeland Road in Eastanollee, Ga. passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at his home.

A son of the late Norman W. and Essie Mae Cash Dickson, he was born March 4, 1936 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived for most of his life in Stephens County.

He was retired from Coats and Clark after many years of service. Mr. Dickson was a member of Tom’s Creek Baptist Church and in addition to his parents was

preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Brock Dickson, by a brother, Fred Allen Dickson, and by two sisters, Roberta Campbell and Frances Campbell.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Erin Dickson of San Antonio, Texas, a daughter, Debbie Dickson Blackwell of Eastanollee, Ga., grandchildren,

Kayla and Tommy Luchard, Brooke and Collin Madison, and Zach Dickson, great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Baylee, Cyrus, Jada, and Ellie, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday, February 19, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from the Hillcrest Chapel of The Acree-Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Wayne Marcus and Reverend Doug Dickson officiating.

The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers, Tommy Luchard, David Bailey, Rusty Brooks, Jerry Dickson, Brian Dickson, and Mike Wilson.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at Acree-Davis on Monday prior to the funeral from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m.

Interment will be in Tom’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements
