William was born at High Halden, Kent, on 16th May 1811 and christened there on 4th June. He married Mary Chambers Ellen at High Halden on 16th May 1842, and after their marriage they farmed at Smarden, Kent. William died there on 21st April 1868 but was laid to rest on 27th April at High Halden where his parents and brothers are also buried.
