Roger Cordell, 58, of Cordova died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center-Princeton.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Dilworth Cemetery. Rev. Doug Tate will officiate. Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton is directing.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2002, at Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Cordell and Wayne Cordell, and two sisters, Carolyn Dimarizo and Paula Hanley.
He is survived by his wife, Zonna Roe Cordell; two daughters, Jonnie Lynn Cordell and Teresa Ann Cordell, both of Sumiton; two sons, Roger Ladon Cordell and his wife, Hollie, and Timothy Dow Cordell, all of Sumiton; two sisters, Judy Gunter of Dora and Kathy Parrish of Birmingham; brother, Gary Cordell of Sumiton; five grandchildren, Ashley Layfield, Richard Layfield, Jillian Knuckles, Rachel Cordell and Logan Cordell; one great-granddaughter, Asianna Layfield; and several nieces and nephews.
