Kerry was a graduate of Iuka High School in Iuka, Mississippi, and attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for a time. In November 1987, she began working for the United State Postal Service in Jonesboro, and eventually became Postmaster of the Ash Flat Post Office in Ash Flat, Arkansas. On October 15, 1988, Kerry and Roy Turner were united in marriage, and enjoyed 28 years together until Roys passing on May 6, 2017.
Kerry enjoyed cross stitching, traveling and going to yard sales. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Kerry loved her dogs, and was remarkably dedicated to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Turner; paternal grandparents, Earnest and Daisy Meredith; and maternal grandparents, Jasper and Ruth Sims.
Kerry is survived by her parents, Jr. and Leona Meredith; a brother, Lynn Meredith and wife, Amy, of Benton; six nephews and nieces, Holly Meredith of Wynne, Destany Meredith of Benton, Jake Deason of Wynne, Noah Meredith of Benton, Meredith Wilcox of Wynne, and Ashlyn Meredith of Benton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, in the Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Wynne with Brother Bill Hall and Brother Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Pumpkin Bend Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are John Harris, Jack Ray, Eric Lee, Joe Motts, Jimmy Ray, and Andrew Meredith. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of the United States Postal Service.
