Linda Kay Ritchie, 70, of Decatur, passed away, Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at her home.
Linda was born October 5, 1947 in Dowagiac to Raymond & Gladys (Kennedy) Mentzer. She attended Dowagiac Union High School, Class of 1964. On August 27, 1964 she married Ronald C. Ritchie in Cassopolis. Linda was employed for 16 years at Sundstrand before gaining employment at Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac from where she retired. Linda volunteered at the Decatur Public Library for several years, and in her free time loved to attend flea markets, tend to her many hummingbird feeders around the house, read romance novels, and cook for her family. Linda was a generous person, having purchased many stuffed animals to donate to local hospitals for those in need.
Linda is survived by her husband Ronald, four sons-Andy (Shari) Ritchie of Niles, MI, Tim (Stacy) Ritchie of Decatur, John (Christy) Ritchie of Elkhart, IN, Tony (Sondra) Ritchie of Denver, CO; ten grandchildren-Kayla, Anna, Kyle, Elizabeth, Emily, Scott, Zoe, Zeke, Zander & Maddie; her brother Ernie Mentzer of Florida; and two nephews-Telly & Randy Mentzer. She was preceded in death by her parents & her brother Bob Mentzer
