After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy for six years. He married Jane Baustert on September 6, 1958 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. To this union, eight children were born. His wife, Jane, passed away and he later married Alice Nault. To this union, he gained eight step-children. He was a farmer and a rancher all of his life and he loved spending his life on the Bar C Bar Ranch.

He was a dearly loved father and grandfather who taught his family how to love through his steadfast devotion to his wife, Jane, during the times of laughter and joy as well as the times of illness and heartache. He passed on his love for God and his unwavering faith to his family, and he will be always be remembered for his sense of humor and his wonderful, vibrant personality.

He loved his time in the Navy and enjoyed telling his stories to all who would listen. He enjoyed bowling and going to casinos with Alice, watching good movies, and spending time playing games with his family. He especially liked to eat a big plate of spaghetti and chocolate cake. He loved driving around in his pickup looking out on his land and communing with God.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Boeckman; his infant daughter, Mary Margaret and two brothers, Charles and James Boeckman.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Boeckman of Okeene; one sister, Shirley Boeckman of Muskogee; four sons, Chris Boeckman (Cheryl) of Okeene, Bruce Boeckman (Susie) of Okeene, Brian Boeckman (Donna) of Blanchard, and Reverend Scott Boeckman of Norman; three daughters, Brenda Lee (David) of Enid, Cindy Rauh (Kelly) of Duncan and Cathy Johnson (Mike) of Broken Arrow; twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren; eight step-children; fifteen step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
