Norma Jean Butler, 86, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018. She was born in Cleveland County, Okla. Sept. 5, 1931, the daughter of Ernest and Icey Lee (Cook) Hadley. The family moved to Okla. City, in 1937. Norma attended Britton High School. She met and married Edwin J. Butler on July 18, 1948. She worked at Western Electric, AT&T and retired in 1997 after 27 years from Lucent Technologies where she worked in surface wiring.
She enjoyed flowers, needlework, decorative painting, scrapbooking and playing with grand dog Gundie.
She was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Randall and Leroy Hadley; and husband, Edwin. She is survived by daughter, Nancy Butler of the home; son, Michael Butler and wife Teresa of OKC; brother, Darrell Hadley and wife Jane of OKC; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening, 5-8 PM. A memorial service is set for Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel in Edmond, OK, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond, OK.
