Wade Guy King, son of Wendell and Jean Margetts King, was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 22, 1958. He graduated from Jordan High School and received his bachelor's degree from Weber State University. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Wade married Ellen Gabrielsen King on July 15, 1980. They had four children; Alicia, Carrie, Emily, and Daniel. Wade was a dedicated husband and a loving father. He was committed to providing for his family as a station agent for Amtrak, an agent for Farmers Insurance and a store manager for Franklin Covey, among other positions.

Wade was a lifelong learner and an avid reader, with particular interests in science, astronomy, and religion. He was an active leader in his church and the Boy Scouts. He was an outgoing man who could find a long lost friend in any airport or connect with any stranger.

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018 he passed away in his sleep at his home in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his father Wendell G. King, his mother Jean Margetts King, his brother Lyn, and his daughter Emily. He is survived by his wife Ellen Gabrielsen King, daughter Alicia Hatch married to Robert Hatch, daughter Carrie King, and son Daniel King married to Lonna King; his grandchildren Emily, Sophia, and Arianna Hatch, and Titus, Evelyn, and Juliana King; and his siblings Wendy Crizer, Melody Olson, Bill King, and Rex King.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Wade's life at a casual gathering Wednesday, February 21 at 12pm. It will be held at the LDS Church at 2530 Stinson Lane, Norristown PA 19403. Burial will be held privately in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA.
