Lowell Williams, Jr.
(August 23, 1960 - February 10, 2018)

Lowell Williams, Jr., 57, was born to Lowell and Erma Williams, Sr. on August 23, 1960 in Sweetwater, TX at Simmons Memorial Hospital.

All through school Lowell was very successful in his sports and academic studies, where to this day he still holds the discus record at Sweetwater High School and won State in 1979 in the Discus. After finishing High School Lowell, Jr. went to Navarro College, Ranger Junior College, and Lafayette University in Louisiana where he played scholarship football. After school Lowell went on to be very well known for his work in the Wind Turbine industry.

Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Avondale Baptist Church with the Reverends Kevin Shipp, Robert Carey, and Richard Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home. A family visitation will be 6:30 Friday evening at McCoy Chapel of Memories.

Lowell leaves behind to cherish a daughter, Lashundra Rene Williams and two grandchildren, Kingston Shadowen and Kenasyn Williams of Sweetwater, TX; his son, Lowell Williams III of Sweetwater, TX; his parents, Erma Lee (Young) Williams and Lowell Williams, Sr. of Sweetwater, TX; a sister, Annette Acorn of Sweetwater, TX; three brothers, Danny and wife Mattie Williams and Gordon Williams both of Sweetwater, Texas, and Darbey and wife Addie Williams of Austin, Texas; a host of uncles and aunts, and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be will be Steve Hildebrand, Everrette Todd, Ronnie Jackson, Reggie Jackson, Danny Nation, Zelmo Bell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Aguilar, Johnny Mac Cunnings and Jamie McCoy.
