Stewart, Anna "Ann" H. Of Jackson passed away after a brief illness at the age of 94 on February 14, 2018. Ann was born to Michael and Mary Hrizo on August 4, 1923 in Duquesne, PA. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Larry) Clegg, son Jim (Bev) Stewart, grandson Andy (Sarah) Stewart and sister Clara Massropian. She also leaves her "Stewart family," Agnes Horn, Russell (Phyllis) Stewart, Ethel (Bill) Curtis, Raymond (Sharon) Stewart and Norie (Wendell) Nealy and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Herman "Buzz" Stewart, brothers Michael Hrizo, John Hrizo, Richard Massropian, sisters Helen Hamilton, Irene Hrizo, Pauline Shields, father and mother in-law James and Margaret Stewart, and brother in-law Jim Stewart. At the time of her passing, Ann was the longest member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She worked for 25 years at Gilbert/Commonwealth Associates, retiring in 1980. After retiring, she volunteered for the church and Jackson Children's Day Care. She loved to golf, representing Burr Oak at Central District, and enjoyed playing many card games, especially bridge. Ann loved her family and was a caring, gentle person to all. The family thanks the residents and staff of Vista Grande Villa for providing a wonderful home for Ann, and the staff for the excellent care they provided. Visitation will be at 10:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church (1505 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202) on Friday, February 23, 2018, followed by a service at 11:00 am. Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
