PULASKI, VA– Thomas Jackson Farmer, Jr., age 47, died February 13, 2018. He was born October 21, 1970 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, Rank E5 Sergeant serving in Iraq. He was of the Methodist faith. Thomas always had a wonderful sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Jack and Stella Powers; one brother Keith Farmer; and paternal grandparents: Jack and Janie Farmer.
Survivors include his father: Thomas Farmer, Sr. life partner Lorraine Whaley of Nickelsville, VA; mother: Teresa Blankenbeckler and husband Phil of Pulaski, VA; cousins, and a host of friends also survive.
The Funeral service for Thomas Jackson Farmer, Jr. will be conducted 7 pm, Sunday, February 18, 2018 in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Harmon officiating. Burial will be 11 am Monday, February, 19, 2018 in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, VA. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm prior to the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Lebanon V.F.W. Post #9864. Pallbearers will be Ethan Virts, Eric Alsup, Phillip Powers, Daniel Farmer, Danny Farmer, and Greg Kiser.
