Thomas Alfred Holt, age 71, of Springfield, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Joe Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Cory Derseweh, Chance Derseweh, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Minnis, Patrick Mann and Kenneth Hardaway serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Stewart, Donnie “Rerun” Hart and Dale Browning.
Mr. Holt was born November 29, 1946 in Springfield to the late Carl and Zanie Brandon Holt. He was a truck driver for Dorris Milling Company and was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents Mr. Holt is preceded in death by his brother, Preston Holt. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Minnis Holt; daughters, Tammy L. Holt of TN Ridge, Kelly (Stephen) Baldwin of Springfield and Christy (Cory) Derseweh of Cross Plains; brothers, George A. Holt of Springfield and C. Edwin Holt of Nashville; grandchildren, Mandee Faulkner, Chance Derseweh and Hailey Baldwin; and great-grandchildren, Trinity A. Faulkner, Timothy “T.J.” Faulkner, Jr., and Aubree Lauren Derseweh is on the way.
