Daughter of the late Alice Woodfolk. Also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Edward and Virginia Woodfolk.

Linda received her formal education in the Charlottesville Public Schools. She was a graduate of Charlottesville High School, the class of 1978. She was an active member of Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church; an advisor in the Youth Ministry, and a counselor in the Celebrate Recovery Addiction Ministry. Her devotion is especially noteworthy for how she worked with the late Edward Brooks for the Church's Lady Cavaliers Girls Basketball team which taught young girls the fundamentals of basketball and was a pipeline for those interested in playing basketball on the high school level. She enjoyed cooking, writing poetry, crocheting, and being a faithful church member. She never met a stranger, saw the good in everyone, and her love for her grandchildren was undeniable.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Devin Felton of High Point, North Carolina; a daughter, Kendra Felton Taylor, of Charlottesville, Virginia; a sister, Gwendolyn Nightengale of Charlotte, North Carolina; five grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Sylvia Woodfolk; a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service was held at Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church with Dr. Alvin Edwards, officiating. J. F. Bell Funeral Home, Charlottesville, VA.
