PARIS — David Lee Eads, 58, of Paris, Ill. passed away at 6:30 a.m. EDT Friday, Aug. 21, 2009 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was a former employee of Cadillac Products of Paris and was also a farmer.
He was born Dec. 22, 1950 in Paris, Ill., the son of Walter Lynn and Charlene (Bostic) Eads. He married Kathryn Weger on July 3, 1970 in Paris. She preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1987. He later married Carol Jean Elledge on Nov. 12, 1988 in Paris, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Charlene Eads of Pesotum, Ill.; two sons, Brian Eads of Las Vegas, and Brent Eads of Washington, Ill.; a daughter, Elizabeth Eads of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, Michael Eads of Champaign, Ill., Gary Eads of Paris, and Troy Eads of Springfield, Ill.; two sisters, Donica (Jack) Thompson of Chrisman, Ill. and Vicki (Leon) Bussart of Pesotum, Ill. a granddaughter, Lexi Bussart; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Eads was a 1968 graduate of Brocton High School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of the Edgar County Bass Anglers and Lincolnland Bass fishing clubs. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing and collecting guitars.
Services celebrating his life will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Edgar Cemetery.
