MUNCIE- Julia Judy Ann (Bridgman) Washburn, 80, passed away after a six month battle with cancer on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 13, 1937 in Muncie, the daughter of Earl M. and Velva A. (Lamb) Bridgman.
Judy worked at Ball Memorial Hospital for thirty years as a nursing assistant. She married Walter Walt Lee Washburn on February 14, 1969. She enjoyed traveling and over the years she traveled through England and Germany. She made several pen pals through the years. Judy loved her pets. Madison the poodle was special and dear to her heart.
Survivors include her husband of forty- nine years, Walter Walt Lee Washburn; daughter, Debra Dunn of Indianapolis; brother, Phillip Bridgman (Lucrecia) Muncie; two grandsons, Andrew Slone of Indianapolis and David Gable of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Kim Bookwalter, and son, Steven Chesney.
A private graveside service will be held in Tomlinson Cemetery.
