Clayton Scott Jones, age 59, of Louisville, Kentucky, formerly of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016, in Louisville. He was born on July 9, 1957, in Boyle County, Kentucky. He was head waiter at the prestigious EL Tovar Hotel, a national landmark located on the South Rim in the Grand Canyon. Worldwide dignitaries and celebrities had the privilege of being served by Scott, a consummate professional for over 30 years. Scott was an amazing man full of life, love and laughter and will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, father and husband!

Surviving are: his mother, Leah Webber Jones Huff, of Louisville; his wife, Kim Drescher Jones, of Louisville; two sons, Tyler Jones and Connor Jones, of Arizona; a brother, Mark Steven Jones (Sarah), of Indiana; and two sisters, Cheryl Lyman (Joseph), of Florida, and Holly Bartelt (Jeffrey), of Illinois. Clayton was preceded in death by his father, Clayton T. Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home, with Pastor Bryan Payne officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, in Danville. Pallbearers are Joey Sallee, Seamus Sallee, Jeffrey Bartelt, Joseph Lyman, and Mark Strunk.
