Our loving father, Rodney C. Bowers Jr., 93, of Greeneville, passed away Wednesday at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions of Greeneville.
He was a farmer and bus driver.
Mr. Bowers was a member of First Baptist Church of Greeneville.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: David and Donna Bowers, of Greeneville; a daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Clifford Hensley, of Limestone; grandchildren: Jessica Robinette and Troy Jones, of Greeneville, and Amber Hensley and Kristopher Render, of Jonesborough; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Mildred Wilhoit, of Oak Ridge, Myrna Tolliver, of Chuckey, and Becky and Bill Brown, of Tusculum; sister-in-law: Billie Ruth Tiller, of Hendersonville; nephews: Mark Tiller, of Hendersonville, Adrian Tiller, of California, and Scott Brown and wife, Jackie, of Elizabethton; a niece: Deborah Mullins and husband, Terry, of Oak Ridge; and special neighbors: Peggy and Gene G’Fellers, Wade G’Fellers, Kelly McDavid, Debbie and Mitchell Parks, Carolyn Sauceman, Nancy Roberts, Gary Miller, Clint Campbell, Wayne Franklin, Charlie Higdon, and the Carter family.
He was a son of the late Roderick C. Bowers Sr. and George Annie Bowers and was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Bowers.
The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Joey Tillery will officiate.
Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
