Big Stone Gap, VA - Christopher Wayne Mullins, 56, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol, TN following an extended illness of cancer. He was a general contractor and attended the Haven of Praise Church. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, John & Grace Mullins and a brother, Rex Allen Wilson.
He is survived by his son, Anthony Mullins (Clara, fiancé), Norton, VA; daughter, Jasmine Mullins, Calhoun, GA, and granddaughters, Zoey Mullins and Ava Monica ; siblings: Marvin Waycaster, Big Stone Gap, VA, David Mullins (Anita), Evansville, IN, Sandra Duncan (Edward), Dalton, GA, Sheryl McConnell (Jeffrey), Dungannon, VA, and Marsha Kerr (Dewey, Jr.), Springfield, OH. He is also survived by Carroll Miracle (Bill), Rutledge, TN, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 14, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Noon (12:00 pm) with Pastor Lee Stidham officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Laurel Grove Cemetery, Norton, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Military rites will be accorded by local VFW & DAV Units and the U.S. Navy Honor Team.
