Jean K. (Clem) Stark, 78, passed peacefully after a short battle with cancer. She was the only child born to Imogene and S.B. Clem, the first C-section delivery in Kirksville, Missouri.
She married her school sweetheart, Lloyd, on June 1, 1958 and they had two children. She started her nursing career after graduating from Rockhurst University in 1961. She moved with Lloyd's career and in Colorado she was an RN in Arvada. When they moved to Idaho she taught nursing at Boise State University, was an RN and taught at St. Luke's. They returned to Colorado and she worked at Swedish Medical Center in charge of Central Supply. She completed her career as Idaho's first Aid's Surveillance Specialist and started the drug program. Jean loved to travel! She enjoyed living in the 'camper' that allowed her and Lloyd to tour all lower 48 states, and five Canadian provinces, visiting many sites and cherished friends along the way, and taking grandkids was always her favorite. Jean enjoyed the ocean and living on Maui part-time with the gang as well as her time in Mesa. She gathered many friends and extended family throughout her life. Nana will be deeply missed as she joins Popo who preceded her in 2012.
She is survived by son Jay Stark and his wife Lori, and their two children, Teah and Raeh; and daughter Gale Lacey, and her two children, Michael Jr. and his wife Katie and great granddaughter Spencer, and Megan
