Christopher C. Bailey, 48, of Wanatah, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born on September 15, 1969, in Valparaiso to Charles and Doris H. (Rodgers) Bailey. Chris was a graduate of LaCrosse High School and worked for 30 years as a professional driver for the family business, Charles Bailey and Son Trucking. He loved his dogs, riding his Harley, snowmobiling, karaoke, and most of all being with his friends and family. Chris had a big heart and beautiful smile for everyone. He was the life of the party!
On October 13, 2017, in Wanatah, Chris married Dawn Wilson who survives along with his father, Charles Bailey of Union Mills; son, Dustin (Cherie Ann) Bailey of Hanna; step-son, Tyler Bluhm of Hanna; grandson, Cason Bailey of Hanna; sisters, Terry (Dave) Condon of Wanatah and Sabrina Born of Valparaiso; nieces and nephews, Alissa, Shayla, Brent, and Darren; three great-nephews; one great-niece; and countless loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris H. Bailey and grandparents, Leon and Katherine Bailey and James and Ethel Rodgers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home at 104 Roosevelt Rd. in Valparaiso with a Funeral Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Cancer Society or the Porter County Animal Shelter.
