Esther Joy Remer was born April 1, 1934 along with her twin brother, Lester Coy Remer to their parents, Charles Lester Remer and Wilsie May (Standridge) Remer in Pelsor, Pope County, Arkansas. She married Dayne Lamar Chastain August 6, 1955. They had two daughters from this union. Dayne passed on May 21, 2009 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Joy later moved to Shawnee with her daughter. Joy passed in the morning of February 14, 2018 . Services held at Highway Baptist Church in Little, Seminole County, Oklahoma at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018.
