Dolores Marie Ryan, 87, succumbed to Parkinson's disease on Friday, January 5, 2018 at her Camarillo home.

Born and raised in San Francisco, the daughter of Mamie and Vincent Misuraca, Dolores was a resident of Camarillo since 1972.
Her father immigrated from Sicily and Dolores was fluent in Italian as a youngster.
She attended Catholic elementary and high school, and once dated George Moscone, who went on to become mayor of San Francisco.

She met her husband "Bob" Ryan while in college through her brother Richard Misuraca. Bob and Richard were lifeguards and on the swim team at San Francisco's Olympic Club.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree from U C Berkeley in 1952 where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority, Dolores obtained a master's degree in education from San Francisco State University. Dolores became a teacher in the San Francisco public school system where she specialized in primary education.

Bob Ryan became an executive with the Union Oil Company. His job brought Dolores and her two children to many new locations, including Modesto, Sunnyvale, Kensington, Gardena, Redondo Beach, California together with Seattle, Washington and Great Falls, Montana. The family settled in Camarillo where Bob established a petroleum distribution and real estate investment business with Dolores' help.

An avid golfer and bridge player, Dolores was a longtime member of the Las Posas Country Club.

She leaves her husband of 67 years, Robert F. Ryan; her son, Gregory R. Ryan and his wife Margaret Ryan; her daughter, Catherine Wiggins and her husband Todd Wiggins; her four grandchildren Robert Rideout, Colleen Ryan Jendreas, Erinn Ryan Melbrod and D'Arcy Ryan Polizzatto; four great grandchildren; and many close friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 10 at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park, Camarillo.
