Wilma Jean Cantrell Snyder, of Miller, Missouri, age 78, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri surrounded by her family. She was born on May 26th, 1939 in Miller, Missouri to Winfred Vincent and Ruth Nadine Lamb Cantrell.
She was united in marriage to Leonard Avon Snyder on February 15, 1964 and they were married for 49 years until Avon's death in 2013. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barbara Garton.
Wilma contracted polio at the age of 14 and had to overcome many challenges in her life. Wilma enjoyed crafting, puzzles, NASCAR, and her fish pond. She was a lifelong member of Miller United Methodist Church. She served as bookkeeper for her church, for the Miller Senior Citizens and for the Miller Fabulous Fifties Reunion organizations.
Left to honor and remember her love are her son David and Keri Snyder and their children, Amanda Leach & Jacob of Miller, Jack & Hannah Snyder of Miller, Jason Snyder and Jonathan Snyder of the home; her daughter, Mary Snyder Duff and Scott and their children, Hannah Duff, William Duff and Amelia Duff; her great grandchildren Emery, Ezekiel and Elam Leach and Ella Mae Snyder. She is also survived by her sister Pat and Jerry Hood, her brother-in-law Gary Garton, brother-in-law Wesely Snyder, sister-in-law Rosella White, and sister-in-law Lora Wilson. In addition, she is survived a special cousin Kenneth Wolf and his wife Carol.
Burial at the Sycamore Cemetery.
