Teresa Kathleen (Teri) Stephens, age 64, of Clinton TN sadly departed Friday February 9, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN due to sudden onset of aggressive cancer.

Above all else, Teri was a fiercely loving mother, grandmother, fiance, and friend. She was very passionate about her job at the Anderson County Public Defender's Office, where she worked for over 25 years. Teri loved to stay physically active, and it became what she was best known for. Formerly she completed multiple marathons after surviving breast cancer. From there, her love of all outdoor activities grew. She became active in caving and kayaking, primarily. She was a participating member in the National Speleological Society, East Tennessee Grotto, Tennessee Cave Survey, and Southeastern Cave Conservancy. In her free time, Teri also loved researching the history of her town of Clinton and collecting and selling antique pottery. She was truly a woman of many talents, and Teri will be forever known as a source of strength and inspiration for many.

Teri is preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Kuhaida; mother, Louetta Nitzsche; father, Howard Nitzsche and brother, Chuck Johnson. She is survived by her fiance, Mark Skove; daughter, Trinity Cho; grandchildren, Ethan McNeeley, AnnalieCho, Delilah Pollard, Thomas Cho, Kylie Kuhaida, and Kimber Kuhaida; brother, Steve Johnson, and sister, Sharon Williams.

The family will have a Celebration of Life and receive friends at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel.
