Elizabeth was a former employee of Woodrum Field Airport for several years. She was a homemaker and an avid quilter and doll collector. She also enjoyed traveling to Pennsylvania and different locations to visit flea markets.
She was the widow of Ira Webster Snodgrass and daughter of the late Sandie E. Vest and Grace Bradley Vest. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Howard Vest.
Survivors include one son, Tommy Snodgrass, Fort Mill, S.C.; one daughter, Carolyn Rodenberg and husband Michael, Evansville, Ind.; her longtime special friend, Sheila Saunders, Vinton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Harvey Vest, Bridge City, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2003 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Chris Monroe officiating. Burial to follow in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Vinton Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
