David Eugene Deaton, age 55, of Hilltop Drive, died unexpectedly, Monday January 24, 2000.
Born in McDowell County to Gete Parker and the late Hazel D. Parker, he was a retired welder and a member of Vein Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his father include his wife, Catherine Causby Deaton; one daughter, Tiency Revis and her husband, Robby, of Marion; and one grandson, Jarryd Revis of Marion.
He is preceded in death by a son, David "Gino" Deaton, Jr.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the McCall Memorial Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Gouge will officiate and burial will follow in Vein Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
