Michael was a life long member of St. Peter Catholic Church and attended grade school there. He was a 1988 graduate of Helias High School and served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed being a bus driver, hunting, boating, fishing, being in the outdoors, going to the movies, woodworking and was mechanically inclined. Michael especially loved Christmas, being around his granddaughter and his family. He was a gentle and caring man with a heart of gold; anytime you needed anything, he was always there to help.
Along with his wife he is survived by his parents, four children, three siblings, a granddaughter and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Father Joe Corel officiating. Interment was at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Sedalia.
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
