Robert Thornhill Hargon
Graveside services for Robert "Bob" Thornhill Hargon will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Cosgrove officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hargon, 79, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at his home. He was retired from Roadway Express. He was a veteran of WWII, in the US Navy and a lifetime member of VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Anne B. Hargon of Meridian; children, Diane Wells and her husband Ronnie of Toomsuba, Robin Glebe and her husband Dennis of Meridian, Mark Hargon of Meridian; grandchildren, Kelli Rainer and her husband Chad of Toomsuba, Jonathan Wells of Toomsuba, Austin Glebe of Meridian; great-grandson, Connor Rainer; brother, Patrick Hargon and his wife Mary of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Jane Corbitt of Jackson, Mary Ellen Lestrade and her husband Oscar of Escawtaba; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Norma Hargon; brothers, Ed Hargon, John Hargon; and sister, Norma Claire "Tot" Barrett.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Glebe, Austin Glebe, Ronnie Wells, Jonathan Wells, Chad Rainer, Leroy Collins, Pat Duckworth, Maxey Baucum and honorary pallbearer, Jack Holloway.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
