Owen LaRue, born in Claremore, OK in March of 1936, was the fourth of six surviving children born to Henry and Opal LaRue. Owen met and married Nanette Jetton. They had four children of their own but also took in over 100 foster children/children of friends.
Owen worked at a dairy processing plant in So. Cal in the 1950's. He also worked in the farming business for a few years but the bulk of his career was spent working in the construction business.
Six years into their marriage Owen and Nanette lost their son, Terry, when he slipped and fell in a family pool at a family gathering. The family moved to Oregon to be near Nanette's parents.
Owen loved his family....children, grand-children, and great grand-children....to no end. He was greatly loved and is greatly missed.
