Robert Charles Crenshaw was born to the late Josh and Rosie Crenshaw on Apr 9 1923, in New Madrid, Missouri. His mother name him a "preacher" in her womb. Hew was the seventh child of nine children.

Reverend Crenshaw confessed God as his personal Savior at an early age. He accepted his calling and began preaching at the age of 16 in Blytheville, Arkansas under the leadership of the late L.D. Davenport of True Light Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Crenshaw attended a Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tn, under the leadership and guidance of the late Dr. Hubert Brewster.

In 1947, he joined the Spirit of Memphis Quartet as a lead singer. The group broadcasted everyday on WDIA gospel program in Memphis called the "Hallelujah Jubilee". Later, Rev Crenshaw united with the famous Swan Silvertones, recording such gospel songs as: "Oh, How I love Jesus", "This May Be the Last time' and "Calling Jesus My Rock".

Rev Crenshaw also pastored in Memphis, TN. Ypsilanti & Benton Harbor, MI, Cincinnati, Lima and Toledo, Ohio, Gary, Indiana and Missouri.

In 1993 he met Annie Daniels and they united in hold matrimony on Nov 9 1996. To this union Reverend Crenshaw inherited, two sons and 3 grandchildren.

After leaving the Joy Road Baptist Church, Detroit under the pastorate of Dr. James E flakes, he united with the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lenard Thomas. He preached, ministered, served as an Associate Minister and always enjoyed singing with his pastor and the Male Chorus.

He lived a good life and God Blessed him with longevity. Preaching, singing and praising God was his love.

Reverend Crenshaw's four sisters and fours brothers all preceded him in death.

He departed this lie on this side to go to his heavenly home on February 3, 2018
