Ray grew up in Rudyard and Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He graduated from Sault Area High School in 1959. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. After finishing his deployment, he returned to this area where he worked as a surveyor until he retired in the mid-1960s.
Ray was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Rudyard. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed going to the casino. He especially loved playing Bingo.
Ray is survived by his brother, Dennis (Gwenn) Aho; niece, Kimberley (Todd) Pietrangelo and their daughters, Ashley and Erica Pietrangelo; nephew, Tim Aho, all of Sault Ste. Marie; and many cousins.
Ray was preceded in death by his, parents; infant brother, Carl; infant sister, Carolyn; and many aunts and uncles.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens, 15264 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
